Book a Private Lesson

I offer individual oil painting lessons for adult and children. Lessons can be one-time, in which we will spend 2-3 hours completing a single still life or landscape painting "alla prima" style, using wet-on-wet technique. Alternatively, I offer consistent art lessons in which we can work on any oil painting of your choosing, ranging from abstract to hyper-realistic to impressionistic, over the course of several weeks or months. These lessons will involve a consultation with me before to determine your goals as an artist, your current skill level, and what image or concept you are seeking to paint. Beginners always welcome!

To book:

• One-time lessons for adults are $150 per session

• One-time lessons for children vary depending on age

  • For children aged 5-10, $250 per session

  • For children aged 10-15, $200 per session

  • For children aged 15-18, $150 per session

Pricing for one-time individual lessons include all supplies, such as paint, brushes, canvasses, rags, and medium.

• For multi-session lessons/general skill building lessons, pricing will depend on the length of our sessions (priced per hour) at your choosing, and will be paid upfront before or during each session rather than all at once

  • For example: For an adult painter looking to complete a hyper-realistic oil painting, pricing would begin at $50/hour given the complexity of the material, duration of lessons over time, and skills obtained during lessons.

• I offer lessons in my home for an additional flat rate fee of $100 per one-time session or a $150 one-time fee for ongoing lessons. For lessons in your space, I may charge a one-time fee if your home is more than an hour away from Sunset Park or difficult to access by public transit.

Pricing for ongoing lessons does not include supplies. If you are a beginner with no supplies, I am happy to join you at the art supply store to help pick out materials needed to start your set-up. To start from scratch and purchase paints, canvasses, medium, brushes, etc. I would estimate an upfront cost of $120. All individual lesson pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis and subject to approval by each client.
