Commissions

I accept commissions, primarily of people and pets, on a case-by-case basis. I also accept commissions of abstract or concept-based paintings. I prefer candid reference images with natural lighting.

All commissions are done in oil paint on canvas. Commissions come unframed by default, but I am happy to frame your piece if you cover the cost of the frame.

Pricing

I determine commission prices based on several factors: time spent on the painting, size of the canvas, creativity, turnaround time, and detail. Commissions begin at $95 for an 8x10 in painting.

Timing

Turnaround time will vary based on detail and size, but expect at least 3 weeks from the time of payment. If you are located outside of the NYC-area, expect a longer turnaround time because your painting will need to be exceptionally dry before I can safely ship it to you.

Sizing

I am happy to accept commissions of any sized canvas so long as it fits through the door frame of my brownstone.

Please provide a brief description of the artwork you are looking to commission, whether you have a specific timeline, your location, and any other pertinent details or additional questions.

For example: "I'd love to commission you for an impressionistic painting of my late grandmother on an 11x14 in canvas, and I have no deadline" or "I'd love to commission you for an oversized, 5 foot+ abstract painting for my living room. I have a mood board with color inspiration and need this completed by January 1st."

I will get back to you as soon as possible to schedule a brief consultation call where we will look at reference images, discuss pricing, and confirm a timeline. Commissions are paid half upon confirmation of booking and half upon receipt of the painting.
